Why every woman deserves a Goddess Experience?

Now is the time to embrace the woman you have become. Inside every woman is a goddess waiting to be revealed. A goddess experience is a great way to celebrate weddings, anniversaries, milestone birthdays or for no occasion at all. Let’s celebrate who you are, because you matter.

Be proud of the woman you are today

My top 10 tips to prepare for your Boudoir Session

Cypress Boudoir Photographer

1. Do come to your dress fitting

I invite all of my Goddesses to do a dress fitting via Zoom or in person. This way you can try stuff on and we do a quick run through of all of your outfits. This extra step will help you feel confident on the day of your session because you'll know exactly what to wear and bring.

2. Do Wear Loose Fitting Comfy Clothes and no undergarments to the Boudoir Studio

Avoid having marks from your bra pocking you or scratching you. I want you to avoid wearing anything that will leave a mark or impression on your skin.
I also recommend you treat yourself to a nice cozy robe, but a jacket that zips up in the front works fine too; it will make it easier to change without messing up your hair and make up.

3. Do pamper your skin

You'll want beauty dewy soft skin and nothing is more magical than water. Drink up!!

Use lotions everyday for at least a week before your shoot, but make sure it doesn't have an UV protectant on it. The sunscreen will cause flashback from my lighting and will give your skin an ashy appearance. Wash your face with a cleanser and moisturize the day of your session. Come to the studio make up free.

Shave your legs the morning of your session and if you are planning on waxing do it 3 to 5 days before your shoot to allow for any redness to go away.

4. Don't use fake tanners.

You never know how its going to apply to your skin, sometimes you are left with streaks or patches and often the tone is so warm it creates a huge problem for our studio lighting and post processing. If you really want to be tanned booking a professional session with an experience salon is fine, just be sure it's at-least a week prior to your session, so that you are nice and even and it's set in well.

5. Do give your feet and hands some love!

If possible give yourself the mani pedi treatment the day before your photoshoot. The bottom of your feet need to be clean and soft because they will be in your photos. For nail polish my suggestion is to chose one that can be classic and timeless. Anything too dramatic and over the top will look dated in a few years. You want these images to go with all of your outfits and feel natural.

6. Do schedule the photoshoot after your monthly cycle.

We want you to feel your best and be comfortable. Book the shoot after your period when you are feeling your best.

7. Do bring too much of everything.

The more options we have to play the better. You can't ever bring too much of anything to our studio. I am as over the top as can be! Options, options give me all the options! Jewelry, shoes, dresses, purses, scarfs whatever... bring it all.

8. Do touch up your hair.

If your roots are coming in schedule your hair touch up about three days before your session. Youll want to come to the studio with product free clean dry hair. Do not use coconut oils on your hair the week of the shoot because it will make it difficult to curl.

9. Do Avoid Alcohol

If you tend to retain water or are worried about it lower your salt in take and avoid alcohol.

10. Do your research

All photographers are not the same; take advantage of your free consultations to find the photographer that is the best fit for you. Don't just go off their photos and book because you think they are affordable. Make sure that you ask about the experience, what expectations you have, and that they are open to answering all of your questions. Quality and comfort should come first.

BONUS!!!

DO RELAX you are going to have so much fun!

XOXO

Maria
